Looking for Free Auditions or Open Calls for Children NYC or PA?

Hi, almost everyone that meets my 8yr old daughter says she has a great bubbly personality and would be great for acting or modeling. I need to know the best way to find an agent, open auditions, open calls. I do know enough to know that i;m not willing to pay an agent and that I want free auditions and/or open calls. Preferably in the Pennsylvania or New York area, though we are in New Jersey, I hear the best opportunities are in NYC and Philadelphia. I need names of casting agents/agencies, a free service that lists auditions or something like that. Thank You

well when you have an agent they get 10% of the money you made in a role you were cast in. That is with any agency so you do need to pay them. But almost all auditions are free, so don't worry about that, and if any auditions do make you pay, you should not consider doing them.

BACKSTAGE is a very great source for finding auditions when you are starting acting. Most auditions are in nyc, but they also have out-of-town auditions which could even be in NJ. You do have to pay though, it's about $16.95 a month, to be able to use their website  www.backstage.com and to have them send you their weekly newspaper.

Ross Reports is a great source for finding an agent, and it is part of backstage. if you subscribe to backstage you can use ross reports which shows you tons of agencies, you can even search by state to find an agency close to you!
