Unless you have more information, I'm afraid that it is the proverbial needle in a haystack.

In the current UK Electoral Roll, the name Patrick Murphy is so common that my computer stopped counting when it found 200 people with that name.

Have you any idea of the direction in which he headed - Northern Ireland? England? US?

Family first names?

Some more info and people here will possibly suggest areas in which to search.

Ive got a similar problem to you and I was going to give  you a similar answer to the previous one,you see my name is wright and like Murphy its as common as Smith and Jones .
