Looking for Round Trip Fare from Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles, California, including one night stay in a Hotel

Flight is WAY too expensive, we're thinking of taking a Bus, but Mom doesn't like the idea of sitting in a Bus for over 24 Hours. We looked at the option of taking a Train, but that's a little more expensive than taking a Bus.

We couldn't find any Ferries that go from Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles, CA, can anyone find me an cheap alternative?
