Looking for Star-shaped snack?

I have to come up w/a star-shaped snack for my daughters class. It doesn't necessarily have to be healthy, since it is a special treat. All I can think of is trying to find star shaped cookies (don't have time to bake my own). Anybody know of any star shaped cookies or another idea? I posted this here, instead of under food, hoping some parents would have some ideas.

  1. Actually, Dairy Queen has a star shaped popsicle-like treat. I think you can buy a box of them (sort of like dilly bars) and depending on how many are in the class, I don't think it would be really expensive. It is called a Star Kiss

  2. Star Fruit!  It is yellow (a bit on the more expensive side) healthy and sweet.  They are long, but if you look at them from the top or bottom star fruit are shaped like stars!  It wont be very original but with the upcomming holliday, the supermarkes will most likely have star shaped cookies, or cup cakes with star sprinkles on them... Remember, it may not have to be "star shaped" yet if there are stars on the wrapers, sprinkles or other accessories it should serve your purpose.  Good luck.

  3. Dont laugh but the Dora the Explorer fruit snacks come star shaped.

  4. it's easy to make...get a star shaped cookie cutter and make rice crispy treats and cut them into star shapes

  5. I have seen these bags in the dairy section of the grocery store that have cheese in different shapes and I remember seeing stars and moons. I am sorry I don't remember the brand, but I do know for sure that there were stars in them. Besides that idea, what if you get a star shaped cookie cutter and make little star shaped ham and cheese sandwiches? Or you could make rice crispy treats shaped like stars too. Cantelope and watermelon are easy to cut with a cookie cutter, as is pineapple too.

  6. get a star shaped cookie cutter. you could make pancakes, sandwiches, cookies, etc

  7. Carambola , also known as Star Fruit- sliced.

  8. Star fruit!

    Star cookies.

    Star pancakes.

    Star sandwiches.

(just take a star cookie cutter to anything)

  9. Goldfish had a star shaped cracker mixed with the fish for a while.  Might be good if you can't find something else.

  10. Starfruit and yogurt/caramel dips! When you slice it it is naturally in the shape of a star. You can find it at any big store in your area.

  11. Little Debbie Snacks.   There used to be a star shaped cake with frosting and sprinkles on the top, but it may have been a 4th of July special thing since I seem to remember it being white with red and blue sprinkles.

Really you could just use a cookie cutter and make any food into star shapes (carrots, cookies, cucumber slices, rice crispie treats, sandwiches, etc).

  12. I purchased recently some small star shape baking pans from Family Dollar. You can put jello, cookie dough, etc whatever you desire.

  13. You can ask your local bakery at the supermarket to bake star shaped cookies with sprinkles on them. or just plane old round sugar cookies with the star sprinkles that they make around the fourth of july.

  14. why don't you find a star cookie cutter, use it to cut some cake, and frost the stars?
