Looking for a 150cc scooter...any suggestions?

I'm looking for a 150cc scooter. I was originally looking to spend no more than $2,000, but I don't want a complete piece of c**p that is dangerous to ride. I've heard good things about the Q-Link Pegasus 150: http://www.qlinkmotor.com/product.php?id=4

Any opinions or suggestions?

  1. There is Kymco and Hyosung, Genuine, Buddy , Stella all are good scooters and have something in your  price range. I am familiar with them and have not seen any problems with them.

  2. First of all, you're getting off on the right foot by skipping past your 2K budget for a 150cc.  Your experience will be a much better one!  Other 150cc's you may want to look at:

Kymco People 150, Kymco People S125, Genuine Buddy 125, or the SYM HD125.  These are all made by reputable companies.

  3. I live near San Francisco, where scooters are very popular because you can ride them year-round, park them on the sidewalk, etc.  I see a lot of scooters that look like this, so I guess they're popular enough.

It bothers me that the website doesn't actually say where they're made.  They promise parts availability, which is good.  And the price is probably very good too.

But I think I would rather have a used Japanese scooter.  All the Japanese companies make a good product, and a used one that hasn't been totally thrashed would be your best bet for the money.
