I'm looking at these used brands to buy: 2002 Dyno with some rust, Volume Flatline, Kuwahara, R1000. It's for my son's 9th birthday. I'm hoping it will last him a long time. Thanks for any help!

  1. mongoose, eastern, redline, and gt are all great bike manufacturers and they dont always give you the highest price possible.

my favorite bmx website is danscomp.com they have everything you or your son would need for a bmx bike

  2. Walmart....the most your gonna pay is $150...and there good bikes too, they should last him til hes at least 11 yrs old....

  3. i got my son a mongoose from walmart $100 bucks!

try craigslist you can usually find different things there. I safely bought and sold a few items on there.

  4. The availability of a truly inexpensive BMX bike for a nine year old would be to buy a "beater bike" at Wal-Mart.  For the cost of the more expensive bikes you could get him a good bike to practice.  And I would advise get one with as little welding as possible, pegs, and little decoration.  The key to any brand is durability.  Go to the bike park and ask questions, because most riders love to talk about what they have and do.  Good luck and happy birthday to your son.

  5. red line
