Looking for a Laptop Power Cord?

I have a Compaq Presario V5000 laptop, and the power cord is broken where it connects to the converter box. Does anyone know where i can get a new one, or get it repaired? I dont wanna go to some shop in a dark alley or somethin, i mean like best buy or future shop, something like that .
