Looking for a Vega Aircraft Co employee from 1941

I'm restoring an historic aircraft (Lockheed Electra L10A) and a (normally hidden) part of the cockpit roof was signed as being "Made by John Costantini, Vega Aircraft Co, Feb 1941". If he was in his teens back then, there is a chance he could still be alive. I'll bet he never thought anyone would read his writing again - its like a 67yo time capsule! Anyone happen to know an elderly person by this name? I know - its a long shot!!

  1. First thought is when the war started he probably went into the Military, probably Army Air Corps.  Let's hope he survived.

Vega was a subsidiary of Lockheed so my suggestion would be you begin by contacting their Public Relations Department.

If you knew where the plant was located that made the part you could check for similar names on line or in the phone book.  Even a relative might like to know what you found.

If you check this website, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vega_Aircra... you'll see two names at the bottom that have written books about Lockheed history.  They might be another source for you.

    Good Luck

  2. I wish I could help. You know sometimes the world is a small place. Good luck.
