Looking for a band to go with this ring...?

My engagement ring is this:

I am trying to find a band that will match it and FIT with it. Because the center piece extends out so much I havent been able to find anything. Reeds had one that would WORK but we would have to use two, one on each side and the total would be just as much money as my ring cost! I have had people say they can make a custom piece but that's too much.

Anyone got any ideas?

  1. Well I dont know where you are located but it should be something you can find.  but for under $500 it will be a solid band, no diamonds given the rise in diamond prices.

A straight band if it can fit under the center stone like this

Ar a wrap band that bends enough that will go around it

try more jewelers and give them your max price and ask what they can make for you that will work, maybe they can come up with something great!

  2. What a gorgeous ring...all your friends will be envious!  Having two Reed bands may be a bit of overkill...you can always have one custom made in just a plain platinum or white gold (whatever your engagement ring is).  Congrats!

  3. I think a custom band is the only way to go or take it to a local jeweler and ask if there is anything that can be done.. my mom had a ring that was a hard fit and they were able to customize a band for only a few hundred dollars.. have you looked where you got your ring from ?

  4. Beautiful ring.

Awww... this is a perfect match but it's so pricey!!! :(

I've seen eternity bands that have the same side stones (emerald shape?) that would work. Have you tried that style?

I saw one set on ebay, and would have to look for it... I'll repost if I see it but basically imagine an eternity band looking like the sides of your ring all around (without the round diamonds on each side... the band would be very thick that way).

If you don't like eternity bands or too pricey you could ask the jeweler to just do the top part like that... to the same length as your ring on the top side?

Try building it on bluenile.com and see how much it'd be with the style you like.

    Good luck!!!

  5. That is a beautiful ring congrats any ways i think your best bet is getting a custom ring for it (It is not to expensive) That is what i had to do with my cause my diamond is a  Marquise so it was hard to find one that fit but my band came out to be around 500 with engravement.

  6. I have a princess cut, vintage style ring that required a band with a larger dip in it to fit under my ring.  I finally found one at Littman Jewelers.  You could give them a try.

    BTW- Mine was about $200

  7. Try an enhancer or a chevron. Would keep it plain.

Otherwise, for bands, you just have to try on TONS of bands to see what will fit - like with this similar set -

Wow, this would match the baguettes, but it's in yellow gold -

Or a bigger area like this might fit the central part of the e-ring -

    enchantress 31-V165

    and

    Forsythia 31-V133

i think these match pretty well.

  9. I had a band custom fitted for about $150. What they did was take a solid plain band and notch it so the centerpiece would overlay into it. Since your ring is big, you might have to have a thicker band but that is the most inexpensive route.
