Looking for a beer?

Yea well I am that guy that drink Jack daniels Str8 and thats about all I like to drink however. I am trying to find a beer that doesnt have that nasty beer taste. I can not even get past the 1st drink of stuff like miller,bud light,budweiser, traditional beers are just so gross to me. So if you have any suggestions on a "good" beer please share!

I have the perfect beer for you.. Its called a Snakebite, and what you get is one lager (I usually use Harps or even Killians) and one Amber Cider (Woodchuck). Take the lager and pour half of it in a mug slowly, then pour half of the amber cider into the mug and you will have the best beer ever. Seriously, I hate reg beer, this is the best thing Ive ever tasted.

OK I am so glad I saw your question. Finally someone who has the sense to hate crappy beers and still has the desire to step up to better beers.

First beers you should try and really well distributed and should be pretty easy to find; New Belgium's Fat Tire, Pyramid Hefe-weisen, Blue Moon, Lagunitas Pilsner, Firestone's Double Barrel Ale (DBA), Lost Coast Great White, Stella Artois, Hoogarden, Newcastle, Paulaner Salvator, AleSmith ESB, Stone IPA and Stone's Arrogant b*****d Ale (might be a bit much for you just starting out, but I've got faith in you).

Those should get your feet wet a bit and be able to narrow down what types of beers you like and are interested in. I gave you a lot of choices because I don't know if they will all be available in your area.

Since you mentioned you drink bourbon straight, try this beer if you can find it. Allagash Curioux. It's a bit pricy, but DEFINITELY worth it. It's been aged in bourbon barrels and has a nice bourbon feel to it. YUMMY

I you can't handle "traditional beers", then you should stick with Jack.  Or perhaps try Guinness.

Guinness is a good one
