Looking for a book about a unicorn that is found by a group of children?

Not sure about a book, but i do remember a cartoon like series on telly around that time called dungeons and dragons which had a group of kids and a baby unicorn called "Uni".

Could be Elidor by Alan Garner. I read that as a child. Four children go into a ruined church and get transported to a magical land (ala Lion, Witch & Wardrobe) which they have to save with the help of a unicorn

Not seen a book but remember a nursery rhyme -

The Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the Crown

The Lion beat the Unicorn all around the town

Some gave them white bread and some gave them brown

and some gave them plum cake and drove them out of town

Loved that rhyme when I was younger, still remember it 40 years later
