hi there i want to go camping in the next few days (friday 25th), but unfortunately i dont have transport, and i have given up on mates who might be able to give me a lift

i live in South Shields, and happy to get a direct train..or as few buses as possible..happt to travel a radius of 50 miles or so..!!!

i did fancy westgate in Stanhope, but with travel (bus and train) it would take me 3 hours to get there..!!

i am going to take my 8 yr old daughter, who doesnt like to walk much, so hence the fairly close to a bus/train stop

hopefully the chosen site will have a fair few children on so my daughter can interact with them..!!

Thanks in advance..!!

Michael

Sorry , I don't know the area so can only suggest you speak to the tourist info for details of which sites are near railway stations.

Is Berwick on Tweed too far?  I know you can get a direct train there from Newcastle.
