Looking to buy my first official car (I've been sharing one with my g-ma) I currently have a Chevy Cav, so I was looking at Cobolts. Also looking at Suzuki SX4 or a Honda Civic (if I can find a good deal). I'd like a new (don't care what year, as long as it has never had an owner) under $20,000 thats good on gas. Any reviews on the Suzuki SX4 as I don't know much about them, or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!

  1. toyota's are generaly the most realiable and parts are easy to get hold of. The engineering in "the first time cars" are simple so cheap and easy to repair at a garage. Moreover they do not decrease in value as much

  2. Suzuki is an underrated bargain. Yes, it small and basic, but offers all wheel drive. If you live in the snow belt, that is a big deal. It also helps in resale value.

Don't be afraid to be different. Do you homework before you buy. Get a quote for insurance (make sure it fits your budget). Most of all, test drive them. Don't fall in love on the test drive. Think of your new car as a new BF/GF. You are going to be together for 3-4 years at least.

Best advice: Pick out a car, put the deal together, and then go home and sleep on it. You'll thank me later...

  3. Honda Civic or Toyota Camry. both reliable 1st cars that will last you a long time. and for the most part good looking

  4. YOU CAN BUY A HONDA CIVIC  THATS BETTER

  5. 1. Honda Fit (base) - $15,385

    2. Mazda 3i Sport (sedan) - $17,205

    3. Hyundai Elantra SE - $17,945

avoid the Toyota Yaris or the Chevy Cobalt.
