  1. I'm the Secretary of Baal Dan Charities - we help street children and orphans in India and also have a child sponsorship program.  We are a relatively new charity (2 years) and on the smaller scale (nothing like world vision), but the advantage of that is that

    1) our admin costs are much lower than larger non profits, and therefore most of the time your entire donation will go towards buying goods for the kids.

    2) although we can't promise that you will be able to "grow up with" the child (who knows if they will be adopted or have to change schools for some reason), because we are smaller its much easier to contact us and ask about updates, then we will do our best to get any info you'd like to know about the child you are sponsoring.

If you contact us from our website, we can send you profiles of children who are in need of sponsorship.

I'm not sure if you'd be able to send things to the child directly.  What exactly did you want to send?

Our program is about $25/month and you will be providing a child with food, clothing, tuition, school uniforms, rent, school supplies, and other basic needs.

If you are interested please check out our website - www.baaldan.com

    Thanks!

  2. I personally think you should sponser a child from your country

Look into your community and see if you can sponser a child or family for easter?

  3. I would call World Vision and see if they will do this.
