There are places like eBay that are great for DVDs

He could even try Google for "cheap DVDs" or any other combination of search terms.

often clearance items do not appear on a printed price list, then mailed out, as they get out of sate so quickly.

Often cut price, end of line lists are emailed or posted on the website
