28th Birthday is fast approaching and I was looking for something different to do with all my mates in London. Any suggestions for something completely different or failing that a cool restaurant?

  1. Best place by far for any sort of Celebration is Thai Silk, Isabella Street, Off Joan Street, Southwark, SE1 8DA. Its right behind Southwark Jubilee line underground station or 5 minutes walk from Waterloo Station and its easy to park around there.

They have got a great Bar and Restaurant and have 2 private rooms, if you ask to use one of these you get your own Waitress and the room is fitted with big plasma screens for Karaoke and they even have a full size Golf Simulator in the room. Best of all they sere draught beer, great wines and fit cocktails and the food is really brilliant.

They have a web site so you can do one of those 360 degree looks at all the rooms  www.thaisilkrestaurant.co.uk

And is doesn't cost a leg and an arm.

Happy Birthday when you do have it!

  2. I had a brilliant time at the Big Easy in Chelsea.  I think they have a web site, go google them.  Great atmosphere, food and a cocktail list to die for as well as a whole wall of frozen margheritas to choose from. I recommend the Mango!

He's a bit scarey below me isn't he?

  3. HAVE A GO on the Millennium wheel (London eye) then a bite to eat at one of the restaurants near by.

  4. Try the Namco Centre on Southbank. It's an indoor arcade centre, but with so much more than just arcade games.  There's bumper cars, 10 pin bowling, pool and best of all a bar!  You'll have a wicked time.  A bunch of us went for my 32nd birthday and went mental  - drunk in charge of a bumper car............

  5. www.vinopolis.co.uk

Really interesting whilst involving significant ammounts of alcohol! They also have a really good restaurant there.

  6. Try Karaoke .............it is always fun....just add alcohol!!

  7. I went to a Japanese Karaoke for a do once, which was really fun and a bit different.  I cant sing, but we all had a good laugh.

You can book a room for you and all your friends, drink, eat and sing!

There are a few listed on this site:

    http://www.squaremeal.co.uk/restaurants/...

The one I went to was called Sushi Hiroba and was on the Kingsway (really close to Holborn Tube station).  It has a sushi bar upstairs and karaoke bar downstairs, but I cant find a good website for that one!
