Looking for a ew car?

Ok, right now I am driving a late 90s windstar and our family really needs to upgrade. We're buying a sedan that can fit 4 well and 5 if needed. Neither me nor my wife have gotten into an accident in our lives and we pay less than $80/month for insurance. We're looking at sedans that have recently come back from a 25k-30k mile lease and are in good condition. We are looking to pay mid 20s at the most. We'd like at least a V6 engine. I'm looking heavily into a Chevy Impala LT 1LT with a 211hp 3.5L V6, possibly the 2LT with a 233hp engine. Is this a nice car? Anything else out there that is worth looking at?

Thanks!

  1. Honda CR-V

powerful 4cyl engine great mpg on Hwy.

fits 4 easily 5 if friendly.

seats fold forward and flat for tons of space.

    07 $20 to $24,000

    06 $18 to $20,000

    05 $16 to $18,000

    04 $12 to $14,000

    03 $10 to $12,000

  2. You may want to consider the cost of gas before you decide you need 6 cylinders.  Honda Accords have about 170 HP with a 4 cylinder and get 34 MPG.  That being said, if you must have a 6 cylinder, the Impala is a good choice, but go with the most fuel efficient engine - it's still plenty of power.  Also look for the flex-fuel option on this vehicle.

  3. We have a 2005 Ford 500 Limited. It is a V6 and we really like it. It has about 32000 mi. and we have had 0 problems with it. It is just a little bigger than the Impala. You might give one a look. One of the nice features is adjustable pedals. My wife is short and this gets her back from the steering wheel airbag. It is comfortable for 5 normal size adults.

  4. might look @ "dealer loaner cars" they have very low mileage but because they do have mileage they have a lower price

    maybe kia

or one of those honda CRV's they are decent
