  1. Hey buddy,

Don't let the budget stop you from getting the car that you want. There are numerous things you can do to get something better than you might think you deserve.

For instance, have you looked at seized car auctions? I recently bought a BMW 3-series from a car auction and it drives like a dream and it is practically new. A link for a car auction site which I found quite handy is http://www.easycarblog.com/auction.php

The reason why I had to look into the whole car auction scene was because I also had a budget for a car, which was reasonably low.

The other day I ran into an eBook called TopSecretCarSecret when I was trying to find a good price on a car for my wife. I used this eBook and I got 25% off on the price of a brand new Buick for my wife. If you are interested in trying the book, here's the link. http://www.easycarblog.com/go.php

Good luck, and I hope you find what you're looking for!

  2. That seems to be a very liberal budget for the car you are thinking of getting. For around 2500 you could probably get a later model of either of those cars (later than 96). I have a 2001 Cavalier and it runs great, and if I sold it I'd probably expect around 3000 for it (it is automatic and has 93K miles on it and some dents/scratches).
