Question:

Looking for a good (cheap!) health insurance?

I live in Southern California (Riverside) and I'm on the hunt for a good and cheap health insurance...thought I'd reach out to the Answer's community for help. Couldn't hurt, right? Ideally (in my warped little dream world) I want several doctor's visits for $25 or $30 a visit...and I want a deductible of $5000 or less. Any ideas? I currently have Tonik 3000...and their rates are going up to $102, so I'm hunting for something cheaper (ideally around $50). Any suggestions?

I've already looked at all the major ones online....kaiser, uhc, pacificare, blue cross ca.....

  1. Probably best to have a rest.looks like you can get some ideas here.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/...

  2. When it comes to health the words "good" and cheap don't exist in the same policy.

  3. I personally used blue cross but that was through an employer : (

I signed up for "temporary insurance" through ehealthinsurance and ended up going with assurant insurance. What a mistake. They completely scammed me. All the ones on the internet that have cheap prices like $50 are rip offs. They dont cover, then continue to charge your credit card or bank account and then when you call to cancel, they have a girl answer who says that nobody is there and they are all out sick and can they call me back.  This was with assurant and ehealth referred me to them so I wouldnt trust either of these companies and they are 2 of the biggest out there.

  4. For the indemnity insurance please visit the site

  5. It sounds like the LAST thing you need is some greedy agent who wants to skim 25% off the top of whatever you pay.  Yeah, big help, buddy.

Try Blue Shield of CA (they offer different products than BC), but remember that Southern California isn't the cheapest place to live, you won't find some stunning bargain no matter where you check.

A high deductible plan works for some and just plan to pay those doctor visits out of your own money.

  6. You could try AmeriPlan USA.

they are a discount health benefits company who have very low monthly payments and then you also get discounts from 30-80% off all health care costs.. Prescriptions included.(25-50% off)..

Please visit the website and if you are interested, my telephone is under the contact section!

    Good Luck!

  7. You need a trusted adviser to help you through the process of purchasing health insurance so that you understand what you are purchasing. You probably already know that there is much more to health insurance than what is the cheapest policy.

Ultimately, you are the one who determines how "cheap" your health insurance policy will be because you decide how much you will participate in sharing the cost of your health care with your insurance company.

If you choose a plan that covers everything i.e. doctors office visits, prescription drugs, preventative health benefits, maternity coverage and you choose low deductibles and low copays your monthly premiums will be significant.

On the other hand if you are young and healthy and rarely use the health care system you might be able to consider a plan that covers only the major health catastrophe which will result in, maybe not "cheap" but, a relatively low monthly premium. You then can use the monthly premium savings to pay for the occasional doctor visit and still come out ahead.

Check with the agent that writes your home or auto insurance he/she can provide you a health insurance proposal that takes into account your budget and health situation.
