Question:

Looking for a good crock pot?

My girlfriend would like a crock pot for her birthday and I was looking around at them online and have NO idea what I am looking at or for. I am looking at least a 5 qt if not 6 or 7...she likes to entertain and cook for friends from time to time, plus I love crock pot left overs.

So what are some good brands and features I should look for...I work at Sears and there is a neat rival crock pot, 6 qts and comes with a mini dip crock pot too which is an awesome bonus, so is Rival a good brand at all?

Thanks

  1. I have a Rival and love it.  I think your girlfriend will, too.  I use my little crock pot for hot dips when having guests over - queso, hot clam or chili dip, etc.

I like the larger size myself.  I can cook once and have leftovers.

  2. Rival is a well-known brand, & Sears stands behind it.

After size, choose shape (round or square), biggest is 6 qt.

Most important is a removeable liner pot for serving & washing.

  3. I've got this one that has two separate inserts.  One is huge, and the other is divided.

  4. Rialta and Sunbeam are very good.
