Looking for a good deal on a Caribbean cruise?

Hi, I live in Toronto and I am looking for the cheapest prices for a safe caribbean cruise. I am hoping to leave around the week of August 20/07. Any infomation would be appreciated.

the best thing to do is use a search engine and simply type in combinations of "cruise vacations" "cruises" "discount cruises" "cheap Cruises"....youll be amazed at how many sites are out there.  Spend a half hour and hit a few of the sites.  Find an itinerary you like and want to do and then keep looking at different sites specifcally for this itinerary and see what your best deal is.  Sorry but there is some amount of research involved because there is no one site thats goign to be cheapest.....

Keep in mind that these sites are good and reliable but they aften make you do all the paper work and keep track of everything.  If you go through a travel agency instead they will find you a cruise you want and they will put together all the papaers and follow through on anythign that needs to be fixed.  It takes a lot of the grunt work out of it for you.  On the other hand however travel agencies (while free to you) only get their prices from the cruise lines themselves so they can not go cheaper than what the cruise line is offering.  Every once and a while you'll find one of these sites that offers a better price, but never by much (50$ tops usually).  It might be worth it to through your local travel agent.

I use vacationstogo.com to start my research and then try to get a better deal than that. I've booked through the cruiselines, a local TA and vacations to go. I go with the best price for the cruise I want. Keep in mind that prices for cruises sometimes go down the closer to sailing date but the best cabins get booked earlier than that and airline rates go way up closer to the date you want to fly.

I book directly through the cruise line I want to sail on. They have good package prices and normally have great incentives, including your round trip flight. Cruising out of New Orleans is great and you get to see the city.
