Looking for a good horse arena drag?

Question

does any one know what the best arena drag is thats not to expensive(up to 600$) thats pretty small(our arena is about 65 by 80 ft) and helps mix up the sand without scraping the base?

Have seen this rake, the Riata Rake at a few horseshows.

Look in the buy & sell or similar for a small used chain harrow. It will likely be 6' x 8' and be towed behind a Quad or garden tractor.

You can get them around here for anywhere from $200!

We use a piece of fence with cement blocks.

Incredibly cheap.

Piece of wire fence, cement blocks on top attached to a tractor. Works amazingly well.

We have the Loyal Roth harrow.  It comes in sections, and we bought 2 four foot wide sections for around $400.00 for both.  Each section has teeth on one side for breaking up the sand/dirt/manure, and can be reversed to use as a drag.

We connect the two together with the teeth down on the first section, and the drag behind it so it breaks up the ground and drags it as well.  We use ours to harrow the pastures and spread out the manure piles and it is wonderful.  We drag our gravel drive with it as well.  We hook it up to our 20 hp John Deere.  If you Google Loyal Roth Harrow you'll get right to it on their site.
