  1. INGREDIENTS

    4 cups confectioners' sugar

    1/2 cup shortening

    5 tablespoons milk

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    food coloring

    DIRECTIONS

In a large bowl, cream together the confectioners' sugar and shortening until smooth. Gradually mix in the milk and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth and stiff, about 5 minutes. Color with food coloring if desired.

Really good I make it all the time

  2. What about cream cheese frosting. MMMmmmmm    Most people seem to like it and you can make the cosistancy the way you prefer thick or thin.   Here is a site that might help.... Happy Baking

  3. Google it. Make sure you get one that has egg whites or meringue powder in it. That's what makes the frosting get firm so it doesn't melt on to your hands or other cookies.

The last one I had, had confectioner's sugar, lemon juice, egg whites and water. Mix to desired consistency.

  4. buttercream icing is good but something not so sweet is creamcheese icing it taste very good but not so sweet

  5. 4+1/2 cups confectioners sugar

    1/4 cup shortening

    4 T of water

    1 t of vanilla extract

    1+1/2 t of almond extract

The almond in this recipe makes the cookies extra good and people will be asking what special flavor is in them. Trust me! add more sugar of water depending on desired consistency.
