Question:

Looking for a good used car.?

I am looking for a used car, I only make $350/week. So I only have $350 to spend on the car, the complete price, not payments. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I am not rich and you should never buy a car that costs more than you make in a week. A lot of people I work with have cars that cost more than $20,000, and they make the same amount as me. They must be selling drugs or running guns or something like that to be able to make $20,000 a week.

  1. 350 is a bit low even if you are on a budget. Look around and you may be able to find one for 1,000 to 1,200 that runs. If you get one from an auction, they may have problems passing the smog or other things wrong with it. They don't let you drive the cars off of the acution lot and you are basically guessing about what you are buying.

We have had luck buying cheap used cars from lots where the owners place their cars for sell and leave their phone number on the windows.

we bought a good one for 1,800 last year(it was a 1992 Nissan Maxima and very clean and smooth running with a current smog on it) that was up for sale from the Veterans of America, a chairity car sale.

Nowadays if new car are over 20,000, you really can't expect to find a running car for 350. you are just looking for problems with it.

  2. For that low of a price, you just need to keep looking around your area.. You could try a government auto auction or ebay.. I'm looking for a cheap used car as well, but I haven't found anything worth buying for under 800.

  3. go to craigslist.com under your area and under cars and trucks, there are tons of listings and you will for sure find something in your price range

***hope i helped and good luck!!!
