Question:

Looking for a healthy breakfast?

I am not trying to lose weight, just want to keep a healthy food diet. (: So for breakfast, I have only a couple possibilities in my house.

* 2 Eggs scrambled

* Wheat bread toasted (1-2 w/ jelly)

* Cheerios

* Waffles & syrup

Usually I have a bowl of Crispix with milk, but we're out ;)

What are the best choices? And for future reference, what are some healthy breakfasts to buy? (:

  1. Breakfast needs to have proteins and carbs.  Sounds like yours does.  For lunch you should eat increased proteins and decrease carbs and for dinner  you should limit carbs to no or to minimal carbs.  Our bodies need less carbs as a day progresses.

  2. Any of those is good, but not too much jelly or syrup. Also try nonfat plain yogurt with kashi go lean crunch and honey.

  3. Eat a large, healthy breakfast.

    My suggestion:

    1 whole egg with 2 additional whites - scrambled, olive oil.

    Wholewheat toast x 2

    An apple/orange

    Some greens.

    Milk.

  4. Eggs are full of protein, which helps you lose weight. Skip the Cheerios, which are not whole grain. Wheat bread is okay, but not great. Waffles are pure sugar and carbs and not good for a weight-loss diet.

    Eggs are a good choice in the future, as are turkey sausage and (the best choice of all) any kind of fruit!
