Question:

Looking for a high pressure shower head?

I was looking for a high pressure shower head. Nothing fancy-just the basics. My apartment has good water pressure but the landlord has low pressure shower heads installed. I don't care for massage settings, hand helds, etc. If anybody has any recommendations, could you also tell me where you got it from.

Thanks,

  1. Your current head is low consumption (2-1/2 GPM) not low pressure. This is now a requirement. I bought a Waterpic brand head and it will blow you out of the shower if the water is turned up high. A little more expensive but you could always take it with you when you leave and reinstall the old one.

  2. All the new shower heads are low consumption.Take the head off and look inside where it connects, you'll see a small plastic orfice inside usually with a o-ring around it.Use needlenose pliers or a small s***w driver to pry that plastic orfice out even if you have to break it.Now you'll have a strong shower!

  3. Or you can get a really cheap one from Home Depot if they still carry one.  It is small and cone shaped and gives a great shower!  I bought out all the ones I could find when they were on sale in my store.  Maybe WalMart?  They were on a bubble card in the aisle at the shower department. Small and about $7.00, very unassuming looking, but again , a really great shower!  I put one in all my g'friends houses and sisters too.

  4. Kohler 10284 "Forte" is great.  Look around on-line for best price (about $50).  I first ran into one of these at a Holiday Inn Express and loved it (they even sell them people like them so much).  It comes as a low flow as do all new shower heads by you can dig out the green flow restrictor and have a shower that will practically blast your skin off.
