There's really no such thing as the best home business.  All it really comes down to, is what you enjoy most and what your requirements are.  If you enjoy socializing and interacting, become an event planner...  If you have a baby to look after and need to stay home 95% of the time, then start an eBay business (You get the idea).  As far as results go: results depend on your ability to draw correct assumptions and conclusions.  With every business, there is the challenge of matching a person who is in need of a product/service to the product/service itself.

I've found a website which actually lists about 6-10 work at home business ideas, and provides detailed how to's regarding those ideas.  The website is http://www.finduseful.com

The people who are earning the most are the ones who give away free and valued information to build up customer base. (They don't buy leads!)

They then suggest a product every now and again to their customer base thus building up loyal customers.

People fill in their lead capture page thus trusting them with their details.

People are looking for free information first before they buy.

This is the way the internet is going.

For me a home busines that has been a sucess has been ebay.I had to take some time off from it because of illness but amnow starting up again.I tried the survey thing but what i had with that was junk.Also i fyou can get out some and are friendly and enjoy people Shaklee is a great business.You can operate from home set appointments to meet with peole amd socializing with a person seems a good prospect you talk to them.my wife and i have noy been in the business long but it doing good and i am 66 and retired.We believe that instead of her working 3 more years she should be able to retire early.I think the most important thing is to find something you really like and it will work out.If you are not that interested it will become a hassle for you to do it thus leading to failure.Choose something that makes you content and happy.

The one that makes you the most amount of income that you will enjoy with a passion. If you are not going to enjoy what you select you will become board and it will show in the income results. I was able to retire at a early age due to the success of a business I started from my home. Due to a motorcross accident one of my sons was in that left him with permanent brain damage I now devote my time to my family and helping as many people I can start their own business from home. I am always available to answer your questions and help in anyway I can.

No one can really tell you the best home business to start. You really have to find that something you love or like to do and turn that into your vehicle. Right now the economy is down, so you would want something that saves others money, or makes others money, luxury items/services are out of the question if you ask me.
