  1. I live in alberta and as long as your a skilled trades man you will be working in 10 min we need skilled workers in the oil patch.


  2. I'm in Alberta. I see ppl say skilled labour...it's true, that would help you. To work for an oil company, you don't "need" a trade. If you have a trade, you do make alot more money. What kind of work are you looking for?

  3. well on the plus side Alberta is hurting big time for skills, any and all types of skilled labor. It is the richest province in Canada, with the lowest un-employment rate.

  6. In Alberta? You're going to want a skilled trade for sure. They have the lowest minimum wage in Canada, so if you have no skills, you end up with a crappy job.

    Think along the lines of metal-working; machinist, welder, pipe-fitter, etc.
