I have been looking for a job in IT for some time now, the shops in which i have asked if they have any vacancies dont need any new staff.

I live in Kent and am not wanting to travel to far, the sorts of jobs i have been looking for are IT Technician jobs or Sales jobs in company s like PC World

Recently i have been looking into jobs as Game Tester/Game Master, these jobs are right up my street and from reading what they require the person to do, i could do them easyly, however there all so far away. Does anyone know of any sites where these sorts of jobs are advertised, also does anyone know of any what offer accommodation...

I have a wide range of computer skills, My ability to fix computer systems is of high quality. I regularly help friends and family with anything technology based, from fixing computers, to helping them operate a camera.

I have built several PC’s from my own computer to friends and other family members. I am regularly asked if I can come with friends/family to help them find a good computer for there money.

am proficient with all MS Office applications. I also have various knowledge of system tools, including firewalls, antivirus software, registry cleaners/fixers. I am able to work on various operating systems from Vista, XP to some forms of linux. I am also very good with networking, and installing peripherals.

  1. Hi

I am an ex recruitment consultant....focusing on C and C++ which included games etc...

to be frank my answer may seem harsh but in a good way...

only 30% of your applications should be via a recruitment agency - log onto www.jobserve.com   for all the recruitment agency jobs

and the rest via direct applications...remember firms save a fortune if you apply direct - they dont pay the agency fee....

i think monster has employers jobs direct

    career service

    local papers

    networking - who you know

    career fares etc

and of course the job centre

  3. its hard geting a job try the newshoper web page have many IT jobs i got my job from there good luck

  4. To be a true IT Professional you need to go where the money is. The IT arena spans the globe and if you just want to stay in a town with no opportunity then your options to be successful are greatly limited. Like the IT industry, You may have to change, just like a software package and update your own version.

Send me a resume and I will give it my professional opinion, As a former Systems Engineer and now a 10-yr Sr IT Recruiter, I think I am qualified to point you in the right direction. What we all want and what we are realistically qualified for, in many cases are two different things.
