I read that rat f***s are actually less noxious to humans than those of cows, pigs, or chickens—this got me to thinking about the current salmonella scare—would there be less of a risk of food poisoning from fruits and vegetables if there were fewer animal factory farms for human consumption since that's where the manure originates? (I'm thinking there would be more wild critters like rabbits, raccoons, etc. on the land where a factory farm had been, but their poo wouldn't be as likely to enter the human food production chain, or as dangerous even if it did).
