I've been looking around and have found these:

TOSHIBA 32XV505DB (Full HD)

Samsung LE32A457C1 (Only 1366x768)

A Sony Bravia 32" (theres a few about)

the toshiba full hd is around £600 whereas the others can be got for about £400-450. is the 1080p feature worth the extra expense on a 32"?

  1. try  a 'SHOPBOT' just go to your search-engine and type in shopbot.  kellco is a good one an they will find you all the best deals around saves a lot of time looking around . hope this helps .

  2. try ebuyer.com they are good on prices

  3. 1080p is only really worth it if you have a source that can support it (ie PS3 or Blu-ray player).  If you have neither (and are never going to get one) then save your money then go for a cheaper one.

  4. The Sony, is head and shoulders above the rest.

However a lot comes down to persoanl viiewing taste. Make sure you see all three models in the shop.

Also make sure they are showing live tv and not some promo DVD designed to make the sets look good.

  5. Currys.

  6. samsung and sony's LCD is made in One fectory in China...so

but samsung is the top selling brand in UK AND iRELAND FOR THE LAST THREE years.le32 is nice design and good looking and cheaper then sony.

    goodluck

  7. Depending what you intend to use your TV for, will determine whether you will require 1080p or standard HD (720p). The number represents the number of pixels, small dots which make up the picture. Therefore the greater number of pixels, the more accurate and sharper the picture. Higher numbers of pixels are better suited to certain types of viewing.

1080p TV's are more future proof and allow what is referred to as Full High Definition. This is used for certain High definition Games and High Definition Discs (Such as bluRay). If you intend to view/use these items it would be necessary to purchase a 1080p set to achieve the full benefits.

If you are an occasional TV watcher and do not use it for gaming or high definition film, a HD Ready set should be fine and will allow you to receive high definition images at around 720p quality, providing you have an HD imput of course.

As for the Brands, the Toshiba and Samsung TV's are great value and are both new range TV's, Sony are a little more expensive, although the reputation that proceeds them is fantastic. Best to choose what you think you will use your TV for and then gauge up the TV's online for style.

Look out for differences in Contrast Ratio - This determines the range of colours you can see and brightness

HDMI Connections - To receive HD content you will need to use a high definition cable. HDMI Cables are the best way to do this.

  8. Richer Sounds are worth a look.
