Question:

Looking for a new drink!!

I'm looking for a new drink when I go out cause I hate standing at the bar looking like a fool trying to think of something to get and then just getting a Jack and Coke. Jack and Coke or White Russians tend to be my fallback drinks if I haven't already thought of something else to get. Lately I've been getting Whiskey Sours but I would like some suggestions on something else.

  1. Vodka and cranberry juice

  2. it's called " liquid speed "

which consists of vodka, champagne and red bull

it is great and really gives you and energy boost as well as tastes good

  3. Any where from a Gold Cadillac to a Harvey Wall banger Or you might even try a Freddy fudpucker, or a slow comfortable s***w. These are all legitimate drinks and can be found in the Old Mr Boston Bartenders Guide. Have fun Grey Owl

  4. my standard is makers mark and ginger ale. They are fantastic

  5. Try a dry martini or gibson (Beefeater gin, Martini & Rossi dry vermouth, shaken with ice, strained into a glass, garnished with olives in a martini or coctails onion in a gibson)

Try a "Pucker-Up" (any flavour of Pucker brand sour schnapps, lemon juice, and 7Up

    Try a "7&7" 7Up with a shot of Seagrams 7 whiskey

    Try RedBull with Vodka

Try a JägerBomb.  Depending on the bar, this is either

    1. RedBull with a shot of Jägermeister or

    2. a beer, into which you drop a shot glass full of Jägermeister (like a Boilermaker, only that uses whiske instead of Jäger.

Try a Fire and Ice.  Mix equal parts of hot cinnamon schnapps like AfterShock, Hot d**n, or Firewater with a cool mint schnapps (I used to use Avalanche, but I hear it's not made anymore)

Feeling courageous?  Try a Dragon's Breath.

The basic version you'll find most places reads something like:  Get a shotglass.  Pour in 1/2 oz of Firewater (or Hot d**n), float 1/2 oz Bacardi 151 rum on top, and ignite.

My recipe makes a large sample, but should be shared.  Don't drink it all yourself.

My recipe for Dragon's Breath is

In a 12 oz or larger glass or pitcher, mix

2 oz Firewater 100 proof or Hot d**n 100 proof

    2 oz Goldschlagger

2 oz Everclear or Clear Springs

    2 oz Bacardi 151 Rum

    2 oz orange juice

Pour into shot glasses, coffee cups, or whatever to divide it, but don't drink it all yourself.  Light on fire briefly.  Some guys shoot it while on fire, others blow it out.

-The Firewater 100 proof or Hot d**n 100 proof gives it heat, and a high alcohol content (needed to burn).

-The Goldschlagger give heat, and lovely speckles of gold

-The Everclear or Clear Springs boosts the alcohol content again

-The 151 boosts the alcohol content, and adds to the colour

-The orange juice adds colour and prevents scurvy.

    Cheers

  6. Ask for Christmas memories -

It is Strawberry liquor with Creme de Menthe.

    SO good.

  7. Try a mint julep! or plain old whiskey on the rocks.

  8. I found the Crown and Dr Pepper is quite an interesting combination. It really brings out all of the 23 flavors in Dr Pepper, you can really taste the cherry, vanilla, and other spices. It's pretty good and worth a try.

  9. try 3 olives grape mixed with squirt or else 99 bananas and chocolate milk! :)

    hope i helped!!

  10. Appletini....and NO Im not q***r!!

Drink of the week has ALOT of good ideas!!

  11. I love Captain Morgan and Cokes, the spiced rum gives it a little something extra, doesn't taste too much like alcohol, and has never made me puke!

  12. Well, i recently started getting Crown and water w/Ice.  The water really smooths it out and there is no nasty after taste.  If crown is expensive then go with a Makers Mark or Jack and water.  Very good and quite refreshing. Cheers!
