Looking for a new laptop, help?

I'm in need of some help... !

I'm going off to college soon and I need to get a laptop, but I have absolutely no idea where/how to start looking. I don't know anything about laptops... period. Would it be okay for you guys to recommend one for me? I'll be using the laptop for school stuff, internet, photoshop, watching dramas, downloading music... lol. I tend to s***w over computers pretty easily (I probably download too much stuff... I'm actually not quite sure what happens but they always start dying and are reallyyy slow after a year of usage)...

Anyway, it'd be great if you guys could recommend some. I'm on a budget, something not over $600 if possible?

I would highly recommend getting a Toshiba. There is a good-quality one on their site for around $629 - the Satellite A205 series ( http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/pdet... )

Have a look at their range at www.toshiba.com. They are bound to have a good quality, cheap one for you.
