Looking for a new mystery book ?

I used to love the R.L. Stine fear street books when I was a teen. I still do love them but I am an adult now and would like similar mystery books for adults. I don't have much time to read so shorter books like the fear street books would be good. Does anyone have any suggestions on Authors or book titles that might be good for for what I'm looking for?

Try Nancy Drew book series by its ghostwriter Carolyn Kleene and Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle or short stories of Edgar Allan Poe who's stories are the main root of all mystrey stories of todays.

You can try books written by Joan Lowery Nixon, I love all her mystery novels.
