my mom and dad have agreed that eventually, i could get a new set of irons. currently, i have MaxFli irons that I found in my basement that belonged to my grandpa. i am a 14 year old girl, but i'm 5'9'', so men's clubs are better for me because of their length. any suggestions on what clubs i should get. (below $400 please) :) thanks!

  1. Go with Either adams or callaway.

  2. Look at the Nike CCI (same irons Trevor Immelman used to win the masters) at TGW.com there $399 for steel or graphite. You might also check out Nickent 3dx hybrid iron set. Can be bought for $250 to $300 new come with 3 & 4 hybrid 5.6.7.8.9.10.PW in the irons. I bought a set for my dad and after trying them I ordered a set for myself there great especially for the money. Good luck.

  3. I have a freind who is 5'9 (a girl) and she got some adams OS something with graphite shafts in senior flex - those work really well for her. The 3,4 and 5 irons are hybrids - really easy to hit. Check out Adams clubs, but whatever you settle on, definitely look into senior flex graphite shafts.

  4. Take a look at Rock Bottom Golf - [ http://rockbottomgolf.com ]. They have a good selection of discount clubs and may have something that would work for you. Just about everything they sell is under $400, so no worries on the budget side of things.

    Best of luck!

  5. Would have to know your skill level, but you may want to try Cleveland CG 4. They are really good. For beginners Adams are definately the best clubs. They are really easy to hit,but they don't have much workability which doesn't matter to you.

  6. Below $400?  Not realistic for a set of irons that is going to last you.  Try to save up some money before making the investment.  Youre young, just starting highschool, you want to be properly fit into a set of irons that will last your 9th - 12th grades.

Basically, $400 will get you a simple off brand set of irons, and unless you find a deal on ebay, wont be titleist or taylormade.

Get custom fit, and let your parents know your serious about the game; so maybe the will put forward some extra money to do you justice.
