This is for our 29th anniversary dinner, so would like a place with some ambience. We will be staying in the Quarter.

  1. Try the link below......sometimes customer reviews and websites with menu's too.

  2. My favorite recently reopened after an extended break after the storm and its still great. Noth the cheapest option but great for a special occasion.

    Maximos Italian Grill

    1117 Decatur St

    New Orleans, LA 70116

    (504) 586-8883

This place would be fun, they have opera singing waiters and the food is good.

    Cafe Giovanni

    (504) 529-2154

    117 Decatur St

    New Orleans, LA

    Another option is

    Bacco Restaurant

    310 Chartres St , New Orleans , LA , 70130-2217

Italian delicacies are crafted with unique, luxurious ingredients at this romantic eatery.

Many people also really enjoy Irenes. To be honest its not my favorite but its always been popular.

    Irene's Cuisine

    539 Saint Philip St , New Orleans , LA , 70116-3322

Cozy, romantic Quarter spot packs in adoring locals with a menu of Italian influences paired with hints of southern France.

The Napoleon House restaurant is at 500 Chartres Street in the FQ, and has a menu of great local dishes that are influenced by Italian style-cooking:  http://www.napoleonhouse.com/

It isn't specifically Italian, but the Palm Court restaurant is very nice, has moderate prices, and traditional live jazz starting at 8:00pm: 1204 Decatur Street in the French Quarter, tel 504-525-0200 (reservations are important and they are not open every day). The Palm Court is closed from about July 25th to about September 25th each year.

Tujaques Restaurant, at 823 Decatur Street in the French Quarter, is very traditional and has moderate prices:  http://www.tujaguesrestaurant.com/

    Happy Anniversary!
