Looking for a nice, lounge like, hang out spot in Los Angeles?

I'm a 22 y/o African American who is looking for a nice lounge, night spot to go to with my friends. Not a nightclub but something with music, drinks, nice crowd and I live in Los Angeles.

Any suggestions....?

There's plenty in the Griffith Park/Hillhurst Area

Also near downtown there's a small cafe called "Tribal Cafe" they usually have bands or djs playing during Friday nights.

If you're bored during the afternoon try Fern Dell park in Griffith Park... they have a nice small cafe there.
