  1. good luck! try England

  2. We really like the Malletsheugh Inn in Newton Mearns, nice outdoor seating area, good well priced menu and they don't mind kids!

  3. try tony roma,s in Xscape in braehead, or Nando,s

  4. kirkhouse in eastend glasgow on shettleston rd

    friendly staff,kids welcome

  5. There is a a place called Mitchell's West End,

    31-35 Ashton Lane

    Glasgow G12 8SJ

    Phone 0141-339 2220

    Atmosphere

Fantastic. The "petitness" of this venue adds to the feeling that you are having a very special evening. As only about 20 people at most can fit in and you can see the kitchen openly from anywhere the smells, chat and service is concentrated wonderfully.

    Food

Different, familiar, down to earth, exotic, unique and something for everyone. Even a dish that you think you could have had before has somthing done to it that makes it mouth watering.

    Drink

    BYO or very reasonable inhouse.

    Service

The staff are cool and unlike other places I see the same faces each time I go.

    Price

Starters range from £4 to £6, mains from £8 to £12, and sweets are again about £4 to £6 so I would estimate between £20 and £25 per person including a drink. This could obviously vary according to whether you BYO bottle. If memory serves me right there is also a pre-theatre menu which offers exceptional value for money. This is two courses for £9 before 8pm Sun to Thurs although these details would have to be checked.

    Overall

Top Notch - you will not be dissapointed , but I am certainly glad it sparked my interest. The experience is holistic in this small cosy environment; service, food, BYO bottle option and location in Ashton Lane add up to a lot.

  6. THERE'S a lovely little italian restaurant on Great Western Road called Gambrino's. I would well recommend it - v cosy and intimate and always seems to be busy. But most important of all the foods yummy and its realy well priced, cheap almost!

    Hope this helps!

  7. There are many recommended 'flying bottle' establishments in Glasgow Central but 'The Severed Hand' pub in 'Aud Bank Street' is family orientated and Rab C. Nesbit can vouch for that!!  The grub's a bit on the rough side, unless you like porridge!!

I am confident that, once the local  clans find out you are not related to William Wallace, the violence will be kept to a minimum because you will stand a whopping 30% less chance of you and yours being bottled!!

    Anyone for Scotch Eggs?

  8. go to tgif or applebees

    there EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
