  1. One of my favorite restaurants right now is Milestone's. If you like going downtown, there is a new one in th market, just next to the Rideau Centre. The food is great and the Bellinis (their specialty drink) are delicious The address and menu are available here: http://www.milestonesrestaurants.com/

I would also recommend going to "Oh So Good" for dessert. It is in the market, on York Street. They only serve dessert and the cakes are so good and so big you can share a piece, which is always nice :) A review and the address are available here: http://www.ottawaplus.ca/portal/profile....

If you would prefer not to have to deal with downtown parking, I would recommend the Keg Manor out on Richmond Road The address and menu are available here: http://en.kegsteakhouse.com/locations/On...

Those are my favorite places - Happy Anniversary!

  2. The Canal Ritz.  It's Italian with a nice view of the water.

  3. If you don't want a chain restaurant try the Wellington Gastropub.  Best restaurant in Ottawa hands down!  They change their menu daily and the food is to die for.

  4. Wellington Gastropub is amaaaaazing--but Richmond/Wellington is under construction, just so you know.

Stoneface Dolly's on Preston is a good fusion restuarant--Italian meets modern American, oh so good!

The other place I would recommend is Eighteen in the Market (York Street)--very nice atmosphere, pretty good food.

Also, for future reference, the best Mexican can be found at Agave, down the street from the Gastropub on Wellington, and it has a nice Latin American ambience to it.
