You HAVE to go to Annie's in Barnes. Ok, its south west London but the food and wine are awesome and the decor is great. Really romantic. Its on white hart lane, SW13 http://www.anniesrestaurant.co.uk/

If you don't want to go to Barnes, then Positano on Battersea Park Road is nice too.

Fantastic, romantic french place. Great location, traditional french cooking rather than poncy modern french. Been there for a very long time. Once voted most romantic in London and a favourite of John Lennon in the 60's.
