  1. this is a little more in the city, but how about jury's? they have a really nice outdoor patio, which should still be workable in september.  they've made it onto several "best burger" lists, both locally and nationally, and you'll definitely be able to hit about $10 a person, even if everyone has a beer.

  2. I would check out a family restaurant.  Some of them have side rooms (that you don't even see as a regular customer) that they can accommodate 75-100 people into.  Most of those places have a set menu for such occassions, and charge a flat rate.  I know there is a place called Tiffany's somewhere near River road off of 294.  I used to go past it all the time.  It seemed like a nice place for a casual family dinner.

  3. The Barn of Barrington has nice rooms and a fairly priced menu, also check out your favorite restaurants and what they have to offer.  Maggiano's might be a good place also.

I had my sisters at Babaluci in Hoffman Estates, it is on Golf Rd. They have a buch of different catering options call them and ask them to email or fax you there options.  Persoanlly I think you would be very pleased with Babaluci because of what you are looking for. They have a great atmosphere

there and the service is excellent.  There number is 847-843-3666 Good Luck!!!

  4. Silver Stallion located at 1275 Lee St. in Des Plaines is a nice place for just such an occasion.  The phone number is 847-298-2656.

  5. European Crystal in Arlington Heights.

    Wellington in Arlington  Heights

Check with a favorite restaurant, maybe you can work out a small menu that would work for you and they would get business and you might get a pretty good price, with a lot of businesses slow they want to keep customers.
