This is a quote I've been trying to find for a while. The essence of the quote is that petting a dog and watching baseball are such intrinsically good acts they do not count towards your allotted time on earth. The wording is wonderfully beautiful. This quote has been difficult to find. Any help?

  1. I'm sorry, but this is all I could find. I'm not sure if that's the one.

"Hours spent watching baseball or petting a dog don't count against whatever time God has allotted you on Earth."

(Look at commentor #18 in the source)

    Hope this helps!

  2. This is as close as I could get:

"Petting, scratching, and cuddling a dog could be as soothing to the mind and heart as deep meditation and almost as good for the soul as prayer."  Dean Koontz

"Dogs are our link to paradise. They don't know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring--it was peace." - Milan Kundera
