unless your a mechanic

anything you find for $1K will need repairs or a major overhaul.

your better off saving your money till you have $3K or $4,000.

make other plans or find a car pool

Consider geo metro, ford escort, geo tracker, something small & about 10 yrs old, still should be dependable without stressing your pocketbook - good luck!
