Looking for a really good camcorder for about $1000 or under?

Is there any at all that can take really good night filming quality because the last one i had really bad grainy quality when fliming at night..

What should i go with?

You may see an improvement on the low light as compared to your HC21, but not that much.

If you stay with Sony, at least you get the built-in IR emitter for "Super NightShot" monochromatic video... Sony HDR-HC7, HC9...

Otherwise the Canon HV20 and HV30 can be investigated...
