Looking for a really super Italian restaurant in Portland, OR?

Question

Preferably in the Convention Center area since I will be staying near Multnomah and Grand. Any other location is OK just so the place serves fine, moderately prices Italian food. Thanks for any suggestions.

nostrana or roux is a great place... i almost got an internship there but they wern't looking.... nostrana has a woodfire grill there and the food is wonderful... my chef is friends with the master chef there.

Right across the river in downtown is Pazzo, a great italian restaurant.  There are not that many italian places right by the convention center itself.

In the Rose Garden Arena area there might still be a place called Cuccina Cuccina, a chain, but had decent food when I went.

Genoa is some of the best in the city, but pricey.

Nana Emilias in Hillsboro... got to livepdx.com and get more listings by area and type of food as well as things to do!

There is Picchio Bar and Restaurant in The downtown area.
