  1. Poodles and schnauzers are both not shedding dogs, my neighbor has a schnauzer and she has asthma.

I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones off of the top of my head.

  2. ....allergies can be very annoying when it comes to these sorts of things, but there are still many great breeds to choose from.

All dogs shed so you are looking for a short hair dog. Some breeds are the Miniature Pinscher, Pug, Beagle, Chihuahua and Poodles. Here is a site that may help you in research.

Try looking into shelters too...and remember, no "teacups" or pet shops

  3. Maltese--they are wonderful sweet adoring little things--and a West highland Terrier would be good too. Schnauzer, scottie dog, welsh terrier,POODLE, any mix of poodle would be good.

  4. a mastiff would be awesome. kind of like his own pony.

  5. Maltese or a hairless terrier (or xolo) would be good choices. No pet is going to 110% for all kids with allergies.

I am allergic to hair and can tolerate most dogs, hairless terriers and have recently acquired a sphynx (hairless cat).

Make sure to test the pet out with your son before any purchase.

  6. bichon frise, bichon/yorkie crossbreed, border terrier, boston terrier, cairn terrier, chinese crested (hairless), cockapoo, dachshund, havanese, lowchen, maltese, malti-poo, miniature poodle, miniature schnauzer, schnoodle, shichon, shih tzu, toy poodle, west highland white terrier, yorkshire terrier.  i did a lot of research when I had a lung transplant and wanted to find a dog for a pet (I had to find homes for my 5 exotic birds).  i found the boston terrier to fit the bill for us.  it is relatively small (15-25 lbs), has a short coat and doesn't need to spend a lot of time outside due to its propensity to overheat.

  7. get a teacup poodle they weigh between 5 to 8 pounds, do not shed and are hypoallergenic. but will require regular hair cuts and brushing.

  8. min poodle.

  9. Poodles and schnauzers.  Poodles tend to have a better personality.  Hopefully your son is old enough to not pull on ears, legs or tail.  Any dog will be very distrusting of a child who does that.

  10. I think the key word is small so no Mastiff! LOL  How old is the child?  If the child is old enough to be responsible around a small animal, I would recommend a Yorkie, they don't shed, and most people say they are non-allergic.  they are playful, fun loving dogs,  who are just the right size to be in small places.  Good luck!
