My daughter experienced this in a portable pool at a church function years ago. It came in a 2# tub - not sure if it was a dry or wet additive.

  1. wats it for!?

  2. Lots and Lots of Jell-O.  I bet that's all it was.

  3. Just add one of those lime Jell-O packs.  Actually, more like 50 packs.  Yum

  4. buy some chlorine from a pool shop thats is prob not toxic.

  5. jell-o

  6. hmm, not sure what you mean, but there is sodium acetate (Hot ice experiment) that can turn the water hard as soon as you touch it, but not sure how that would work with children in the pool at the time!! Although at lower concentrates it should turn into a gel which is also harmless. You might want to research it.

    Good luck.

  7. just throw in a  s h i t  load of jello

  8. I use silica gell kitty litter that does that, but I don't know about #2 bucket. BTW you can't eat silica gel, and it's dry beads.

  9. There is a product called Gelli Baff that you can buy off of the internet. See link below. It a children's bath time product the turn water into a thick paste like goo. It is specifically designed for use by children and meets all relevant health and non-toxicity standards. It is also supposed not to stain clothes. I've never used it (and you would need a lot to fill a pool), but it looks kinda fun.
