I'm in the north texas area (Lewisville)and looking for a venue to hold about 50 people. Would like a dance floor, a place for a D.J. or a band. Somewhere that alchohol is available or I can provide. Someplace that serves food or that I can arrange a caterer.

  1. Are you kidding? There are scores of places in your area.  You should be stuck out in rural Texas like I am.

  2. Contact your local VFW.  A church might have an issue with alcohol, but VFW shouldn't, and if they want to charge you a fee, ask if you can call it a donation to that local chapter for tax purposes.   They usually have an area for a bar. and most have kitchens, so a caterer will have space to set things up.

    Good Luck.

  3. Ralph & Kacoo's (Allen, between Bethany & McDermott at the 75) has banquet rooms to rent..... and they specialize in Cajun/Creole food, and have Mardi Gras decor, so it's a little different than the usual place ......

  4. Call your church or any church in the area, and ask if they have a Fellowship Hall, Community Room, or Knights of Columbus hall that you could use or rent.
