I'm after a really nice place, the sort of place where a meal cost a couple hundred quid. Must be in east anglia. Any ideas?

Thanks

  1. Loch Fynne in Peterborough is really lovely, as is The Snooty Fox in Kettering. Not as Easterly as you need but otherwise Cromer and Sherringham have some boutique fish and chip shops for some local seaside chic. x*x

  2. try the cardommon city indian restaurant in northampton it's very posh & has three/four floors & champagne lounge.also would highly recommend aroma thai/cantonese/chinese/singapore buffet restaurant, one of my favourite in northampton.

  3. Midsummer House Restaurant in Cambridge:

  4. The Great House, Lavenham Suffolk

“Fantastic French food in a wonderful atmosphere” – the almost invariable verdict on the Crépy family’s very Gallic fixture, of over two decades’ standing, housed in a charming medieval building in an historic village.

PS - Loch Fyne is a chain of fish restaurants - my personal experience of them has been mixed - the original at Loch Fyne in Scotland is superb.  The two I have visited in London weren't good.  The waiters tried to be flash by memorising orders then got them all wrong.  Food was meagre, not that fresh, and tepid.  Not sure what the Peterborough branch is like.

  5. I have heard very good reports of Delia Smith's restaurant at Norwich City Football Club's ground - yes really!
