Looking for a wedding veil?

Question

I'm looking for a wedding veil that's french "birdcage" type, but it's not made of netting, it's made of chiffon(that's that translucent soft kind of fabric, right?) or lace. This would be connected in some way to a back veil that hits the shoulders and is made of the same kind of fabric.

Can anyone find a pic of a veil like this?

Sounds like you are wanting a regular veil with a "blusher".  That's the part that comes in front of your face.  Birdcage veils do not have an attached back, that's what makes them different.  Also, I've only seen birdcage veils in the French and Russian netting and tulle.

Maybe trying doing a search for regular veils using the fabric as a keyword.

That would be the a birdcage for quite a big bird :) looks like Xanthe found it though!

I second the idea of adding tulle or whatever is the same fabric as a birdcage front -- just get a needle, thread and sew it on to the single back layer -- voila -- big birdcage.

(The more opaque veils may not be practical if you want to get a good peak at your own wedding -- just a thought.)

Otherwise I would just get a standard short 1 layer veil and add some tulle or netting to the front to go across your eyes.

Where did YOU see it?

I have never seen a birdcage veil made of chiffon or organza.  Chiffon & organza are usually veils that hang from the back, never across the face.
